no, their poverty percentage is only 25% (according the the CIA), granted, they have a huge population, so they probaly do have the most ppl under the poverty line, but Zambia has 86% of its ppl under the poverty line.

No, Chinese people do not hate Tibetan people. Some view them as pesky annoyances, I suppose, but no hate. Tibet is actually a part of China, (a province in Southwest China) and it is known as the Tibet Autonomous Region. The reason there is tension between Chinese government officials and the Central Tibetan Administration (also know as the Tibetan Government in Exile) is because the Dalai Lama, although not asking for complete independence, is seeking autonomy similar to that of Hong Kong.

Acctually, there was a rally thing for chinese americans one weekend and according to some flyers and stuff, on CNN, they posted a cropped picture of (what they said to be) a chinese goverment car attempting to run over peaceful protestors, when the originaly photo was of an ambulance having rocks thrown at by not-so-peacful protestors. The car even had 'ambulance' (in chinese, of course) written on the side of the car. So now lots of chinese ppl are pretty mad at CNN...i think. (it was some big news corporation.) And according to TIME, they're also boycotting Frech stores since the french attatcked some wheelchair lady that was holding the torch.

And anyways, if they are mocking the Daili Lama it's probaly because thier frustrated because a lot of big media ppls make thier stories biased and so everyone 'hates' them, even though it's not their fault, it's the goverment's (i think). Like, i'd get frustraded if tons of countries were like " Americans suck because of the War on Terrorism" even though it's not the citizens fault..i think.
